SURGICAL TECHNICIAN

Surgical Scissors

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

Graduates of this course will be prepared to assist in surgical procedures in a medical facility by learning through a combination of classroom and hands-on laboratory. Students will learn to prepare the operating room for surgery, sterilize equipment, maintain adequate surgical inventory, prepare patients for surgery, and assist surgeons during surgery.

THE STUDENT MUST COMPLETE:

  • All courses are taught in sequence and each student must successfully complete each course with a minimum of 70% to complete the program

  • Achieve 70% lab participation 

  • 120 hours of clinical experience

Books & Supplies: $400.00

Application Fee: $100.00

Cost of Books & Supplies as well as the Application Fee are due upon enrollment.  

Payment plans are available for the full tuition amount.

CLASS SCHEDULE: 

Day Class Schedule: Wednesdays and Thursdays

8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Length of the Program: 32 weeks of campus instruction followed by 120 hours of externship

  • Provide copy of their current government issued picture ID

  • Provide copy of their valid social security card

  • High school diploma or GED
