NURSING ASSISTANT
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
This program will introduce the student to basic nursing skills and clinical skills which include, but are not limited to communication, resident rights, infection control, body mechanics, and assisting residents with daily care. The student will gain experience in the clinical roles of a nursing assistant at a long-term care facility. The student will be able to meet all requirements to pass the Georgia State Competency Examination and be able to function as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

THE STUDENT MUST COMPLETE:

All courses are taught in sequence and each student must successfully complete each course with a minimum of 70% to complete the program

Achieve 70% lab participation
-
24 hours of clinical experience

CLASS SCHEDULE (part-time):
Night Class Schedule: Wednesdays & Thursdays
5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Length of the Program: 12 weeks

CLASS SCHEDULE (full-time):
Day Class Schedule: Monday through Thursday
8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Length of the Program: 4 weeks
