Massage Therapist

Massage Therapy Session

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

The Massage Therapy Program will include instruction in massage theory, technique, practice, kinesiology, pathology, business and ethics, anatomy and physiology. We will train skilled practitioners that will perform therapeutic massage services to the community we serve. Our students will practice the integration of professionalism and self-growth as it relates to the standards of practice for massage therapist and patient care.

NGNA is approved through the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) and the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy. Upon graduation, students will register for their board certification exam through FSMTB, which is the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx).

THE STUDENT MUST COMPLETE:

  • All courses are taught in sequence and each student must successfully complete each course with a minimum of 70% to complete the program

  • Achieve 100% lab participation 

  • 60 hours of clinical experience

 

MINIMUM PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS FOR CONCENTRATION COURSE OBJECTIVES:

​To prepare competent entry-level medical assistants in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains.

Anatomy and Physiology I

Anatomy and Physiology II

Anatomy and Physiology III

Kinesiology

Pathology

Massage Business and Ethics

Fundamentals of Massage I with Lab

Fundamentals of Massage II with Lab

Massage Practice and Techniques I with Lab

Massage Practice and Techniques II with Lab

Massage Clinicals

COST OF THE PROGRAM: $9,000.00

Tuition: $8,400.00

Books & Supplies: $500.00

Application Fee: $100.00

​

Cost of Books & Supplies as well as the Application Fee are due upon enrollment.  

Payment plans are available for the full tuition amount.

CLASS SCHEDULE: 

Day Class Schedule: Wednesdays & Thursdays

8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Length of the Program: 44 weeks of campus instruction followed by 60 hours of clinicals

REQUIREMENTS TO ENROLL:​

  • Provide copy of their current government issued picture ID

  • Provide copy of their valid social security card

  • Provide high school diploma or GED transcripts
